UPDATE: We are proud to announce that the BentSpoke charity event raised $2108.92 for the bushfire-ravaged Tathra and Bega Valley area! tathra BentSpoke would like to thank everyone who came out to the brewpub in Braddon on Thursday 29 March to donate and buy drinks to support our friends down the coast. This money will go towards vital efforts in regeneration and be sent to the Tathra Bushfire Bega Valley Shire Council Mayoral Appeal Fund. The vibe in the pub that night was one of solidarity and Canberrans dug deep. Taking the donation buckets around it was heartwarming to see peoples concern and generosity. We heard so many personal stories of connection to the affected region, one woman present was actually a resident of Bega whose neighbours who had lost property. She was touched and later in the evening informed us she had sent photos of the event poster to her friends. She told us they were overwhelmed by the show of support and we promised to pass along their gratitude to the punters!
