The People Have Spoken: BentSpoke voted Canberra's favourite craft beer

Rich and Tracy in the Brewhouse The results of the Beer Cartel 2018 Craft Beer Survey have confirmed BentSpoke Brewing Co. as Canberra's favourite brewery venue, and beer producer, as well as catapulting the brewery into select company as the 6th place brewery nationally. In 2017 BentSpoke came equal 10th overall in the annual survey which attracts votes from over 18,000 craft beer fans. This year BentSpoke came outright 6th in the vote for Australia's Best Brewery as well as a very clear first place for Canberra's Favourite Craft Brewery Venue with 55.6% of the vote. The 2018 Australian Craft Beer Survey by Beer Cartel is the largest, publicly available, study of Australian craft beer drinking trends. It follows on from the 2017 and 2016 versions of the same study. Richard Watkins, BentSpoke's head brewer and co-owner, has thanked the public for their votes. "It's really great to see that as BentSpoke has grown its distribution across Australia we're finding new fans as we go," Watkins said. "But it's also very humbling to see so much loyalty to BentSpoke from the Canberra craft beer public as this will always be our home. "It's also satisfying to see other Canberra breweries, like Capital, Stone Age, The Wig and Pen, Wignal and Zierholz attracting voters in the survey. "Additionally we are also very excited for our friends at The Grain Store in Newcastle taking out 'New South Wales Favourite Craft Beer Bar/Pub' despite being outside of a capital city, and for our friends in the 'Canberra's Favourite Craft Beer Bar/Pub' section of the voting."Watkins concluded.
