Barley Griffin Skywhale Pack Takeover

From BentSpoke’s beginning we have had the original Skywhale mama air balloon on our core range can design to represent Canberra and the many things that make this city great. If you haven’t heard of the Skywhales before, they are amazing air balloon artwork created by the Australian Contemporary Artist Patricia Piccinini. When we caught up with Patricia at an event, we told her that from the first day we started canning, we had the skywhale featured in our can mural design as a reminder to everyone that drinks BentSpoke that the symbols on our cans are the elements that make up why we love Canberra so much, which she thought was brilliant! She loved that we had included one of her very own pieces of artwork as a symbol on our cans to represent an important element of Canberran culture. This great story sparked a brilliant idea between both parties, and with Patricia, we decided to create a limited-edition pack featuring both mama and papa skywhale for the Canberra launch of the papa skywhale air balloon in 2021. Our Barley Griffin, seemed like the perfect fit with the skywhales to represent two main stays of Canberra. You will be able to find the Skywhale and Barley Griffin limited edition pack at all good independent bottle shops and on our website. We have also created a small run of limited-edition t-shirts featuring the skywhales which you can find on our website, so get one while you can.

Patricia will be taking her Skywhales nationally this year, with a tour around Australia. See below more details of where to find her ad her magnificent skywhales near you.
