BentShovel BXW Has Arrived

Our annual Malt Shovel & BentSpoke tandem brew is back! It is a new Belgian Extra White Ale. A little bit stronger than your traditional white beer and complimented with special ingredients like orange peel and coriander. Every year our Head Brewer Rich and the brewers from Malt Shovel get together to brew a special Belgian style beer in honour of the long-standing friendship between Richard and Chuck Hahn. This friendship started back in 1990 when Rich started his brewing career at the Hahn Brewery in Camperdown, which is now the home of Malt Shovel Brewery. Rich & Chuck always spoke about brewing a beer together and 30 years later the tandem brew had come to brewition. Because they both enjoy a Belgium style ale, they always aim to brew a beer that is reminiscent of that style. The brewing collab is now in its fourth year and we are excited now more than ever by this BXW limited release. We’re so excited to share this strong white Belgium ale with you!
