BentSpoke donates over $7,500 to firies

BentSpoke has donated over $7,500 in cash and kind to the bushfire disasters, or organisations fundraising for the bushfire disasters. We expect this tally to continue growing as we continue to contribute to more community causes that support fighting and recovery efforts around this unprecedented bushfire season. “Here at BentSpoke, we are so thankful for the community’s support that has allowed us to grow our business. So, when the community came under pressure from these terrible bushfires, we were keen to help,” said Tracy Margrain, co-owner of BentSpoke. So far, BentSpoke have donated the proceeds of ticket sales from the Brewpub’s New Year’s Eve party to Rural Fire Services to purchase much needed supplies and equipment. A total of $4,000 will be donated to Rural Fire Services in New South Wales, and beer is being donated to various fundraising initiatives around the country as well as directly to regional RFS brigades. “It’s been difficult to watch communities go through so much hardship, so it was an easy decision for us to donate the proceeds of the New Year’s Eve party to help the crucial work that the RFS is doing,’ said Richard Watkins, head brewer and co-owner of BentSpoke. BentSpoke will be partnering with several venues to organise karma kegs in the coming months. All proceeds from beer in karma kegs will be donated to Rural Fire Services or bushfire relief efforts.
