How will Canberra compete in BentSpoke's roller racing?
For the last two weeks BentSpoke has been on the road at the Great Australian Beer Spectapulars in Sydney and Melbourne.
We took our love of bicycles with us in the form of the Roller Racing simulated 350m bike sprints.
We registered 763 participants racing a simulated distance that would reach from Canberra to Sydney.
The fastest times for both men and women were registered in Sydney with a time of 12:063 (Melbourne's fastest was 14:797).
This Sunday June 4 Canberra gets its chance to shine.
To celebrate BentSpoke's third birthday we're putting on new beers, cake, and a red hot round of roller racing action.
The fastest woman and man in our Draughters program will win a $300 bar tab and a carton of beer. Runners-up in this division will win a $100 tab and a carton of beer.
In the open division we'll have prizes of a $150 bar tab (and a carton of beer) to the fastest woman and man! Runners-up will receive a $50 bar tab and a carton of beer.
Heats start at 1pm. The finals will go down just after 5pm.
There will be beer and cake at 6pm so everyone's a winner.
