At the Braddon brewpub you will find 18 varieties of beer and cider available at any one time, all brewed on premise. A wide range of beer styles are made by our award-winning head brewer, as well as hand crushed apple cider, and gluten-friendly ginger beer, all on full display so you can watch the brew team at work while you sample a selection of brews by the pint or in our iconic sample bars.
Brews are available to purchase both over the bar and to take-away in our custom-made two-litre, insulated 'Travellers'.

Brewed by the women of BentSpoke. This beer has a bold personality. Lots of pineapple, lime, apricot and a dash of candied fruit hop aromas, strong body and a smooth finish.
A cleansing ale, this easy drinking mid-strength will keep you well hydrated but in low gear through summer. Dry hopped with Citra and Mosaic. Featuring tropical fruit hop aromas and a clean finish.
Grainy is a Foreign Extra Stout. The style originated by the need to supply stout to tropical areas of the world from the UK. These were brewed with higher alcohol and higher quantity of hops to help preserve the beer on its travels. Pale barley malt, roast barley, wheat and oats combine to brew a strong roasty, slightly astringent stout. A smooth finish helps balance the roasty acrid character.
Well everyone is brewing one so this is ours! Loaded with guava and strong tropical fruit characters, its hazy all round!
A 12 month barrel aged sour using our 5 year old in house bacteria strain. This is aged in barrels and then carefully blended with 20% fresh beer to provide freshness and balance the acidic tang. Full of interesting and challenging flavours and aromas like sweaty horse blanket, mouldy carpet and sweet bitter lemon. This beer certainly finishes sour and tart on the pallet, so pucker up!
We brewed this in homage to an English classic, using Golden Promise, a famous English malt. Hopped with Idaho 7, it has tropical fruit and citrus aromas that balance the sweet malty body.
This Triple IPA is like liquid resin and is crammed full of hops.
A crisp, hoppy Lager named in honour of Thomas Sutcliffe Mort, founder of Australia's first gold mining company.
This big black IPA has roasty, coffee and nutty, malty notes with resiny, piney and garlicky hops rounding out the palate.
A Robust Porter with a rich chocolate maltiness named after Rich and Tracy’s puppies, Fuggles and Chinook

This is our in house blend of Batlow grown Granny Smith and Red Delicious apples. Apples are crushed on site. Enjoy!

Drifting in for summer is a fruity, salty, sour ale. Refreshing, zingy and full of sunshine.
This local and sustainable new beer was brewed in collaboration with the Canberra Innovation Network; The Innovator was brewed with a natural yeast propagated out of the air here in Canberra, pear juice that claims to prevent hangovers, crickets and a dried black soldier fly larvae. The naturally occurring starches and proteins found in the crickets and soldier fly larvae are converted to sugar during the brewing process, reducing the amount of barley malt needed in a traditional brew. Please note this is NOT shellfish allergy safe.
A creamy red ale showcasing wet earthy hop aromas. “Wet” hops were picked straight from the farm and used undried to make this unique fresh brew. Think sweaty, earthy, citric aromas and nice toffee caramel malty flavours.

Dick Tracy was the very first BentSpoke Mash in 2014! It’s been a long time since Good Friday ‘14, but we always still brew this beer every Good Friday. An American style brown ale with lots of rich malts and layered with fruity hops.
A hazy pale ale brewed in collaboration with our friends at the National Folk Festival.
Brewed with wild yeast and lactobacillus to create complexity and acid. Extended maturation in oak for over 12 months, the beer is blended with an aged unoaked version and a younger unoaked version to balance the acid and add vibrancy to the beer. Best enjoyed in a tulip glass with some Passendale cows milk cheese.

Adelaide have nothing like this, I've never seen such a place. This place is amazing. The food, great beers and the staff are fantastic, some of the Adelaide boys are coming up this weekend and this place is the first cab off the rank for Friday and Saturday. This is by far my most favourite place and I suggest everyone get on it.
This was a great find, and located very near to our hotel. It had a super atmosphere, the staff were very patient in explaining all the beer on tap (my husband thought the beer selection was superb, and he enjoyed the names they were given), and we enjoyed a very good meal here as well. I had an Australian Cheese plate, and my husband had Grilled Sardines on Toast with Potato Salad (as well as a beer paddle). We really enjoyed our time at BentSpoke, our only regret was we didn't have enough days in Canberra to go back!
BentSpoke truly do make the best beer I've ever had, there is something to cater to everyone. The bar staff are extremely knowledgeable so just walk up and tell them what you usually like to drink, or for a completely new experience try what's brewing in the hopinator. 10 out of 5 stars.
5 star The best brewpub I've been to in Australia. I met Richard the owner/brewer and he couldn't have been any nicer. He spent time answering all my questions and really making us feel welcome. This is a great brewery with great people and an awesome culture. Best of all the beer was excellent with a huge variety - 18 taps! There was also a really nice cider and a deceptively tasty low alcohol beer. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone.
